Detailed description
The installation is designed for heat removal 240 MJ or 66 kWh of electricity. For example, 24 Antminer S9 x 2.5 kW (power including overclocking) = 60 kW. At the same time, the installation itself consumes 0.345 kW for the operation of the circulation pump. It is connected to a cold water source up to 20 degrees. celsius. This can be network (tap) water, water from a reservoir (river, pond, lake), a well or a closed circuit, which, in turn, has many options (pipes laid in the ground, return of network water to the main through a bypass, heating etc.) With a typical electricity consumption of up to 60 kW / h, approximately 1.2 m³ of water per hour is required. The unit is electrically connected with a 35 mm² cable x 5 copper conductors. In the power panel, the cable is protected by a 100 amp circuit breaker and an RCD or a 100 amp difavtomat. In the standard switchboard of the installation, the cable is connected to three contactors (each phase for one contactor) that turn on / off the power machines for powering the miners. There are 24 power machines in total, one machine for 1 ASIC miner. Also in the dashboard there are machines for the control circuit, pumps and a block of four sockets for connecting a network switch (switch), a computer, etc. On the water, the installation is connected with a flexible hose. The heat exchanger connections have a 2 ”male thread, so reducing sleeves may be required depending on the cooling option you choose. To connect to the mains water supply, a flexible 3/4 inch hose is sufficient. In other cases, we will advise you if necessary. It is advisable to put an oblique filter at the inlet for coarse water purification and a valve for smooth adjustment of the water supply to the heat exchanger. The volume of the cold water supply will determine the temperature of the heating medium in the installation. The recommended coolant temperature is 50-65 degrees for Antminer S9 (for other equipment, it may differ). The unit is equipped with overheating protection. The thermostat is set to 68-72 degrees. Thus, when reaching 72 degrees, the unit will be de-energized. After cooling to 68 degrees, it will turn on automatically. At the request of the user, the off / on threshold can be changed, but we do not recommend setting it above 80 degrees.
